How to Turn Your Kid's Drawing Into a T-Shirt

Kids make art all the time. On napkins, on the back of receipts, on the good paper you were saving. Most of it ends up in a drawer or a recycling bin, and that is a little bit heartbreaking, because some of those drawings are genuinely great.

Here is a simple way to keep one: put it on a t-shirt the whole family can wear. This is the whole idea behind Doodlekind, and the process takes about five minutes.

Why put a kid's drawing on a tee

The drawing is already perfect. It has the wobbly lines, the surprising color choices, and the confidence that grown-ups spend years trying to get back. We never redraw it, clean it up, or ask an app to make it "better." We keep the art exactly as your child made it, and we print it big enough to actually see.

Step 1: Take a good photo of the drawing

You do not need a scanner. A phone photo works well if you follow three small rules:

  • Use good light. Near a window in the daytime is ideal.
  • Shoot straight down, so the paper is not tilted or curved.
  • Lay the drawing on a plain surface, like a clean sheet of paper or a wood table.

A clear, flat, well lit photo gives the best print.

Step 2: Upload it and see it on the shirt

Head to the custom Front and Back tee and upload your photo. We remove the paper background automatically, so only the drawing comes through. You will see it on the shirt right away, before you buy anything. If you prefer a single print, there is also a one-sided version.

Step 3: Pick a size for everyone

This is the fun part. The same drawing fits the whole family: kids get 2T to 5T, teens get youth S to XL, grown-ups get XS to 5XL, and there is a relaxed women's fit in S to 3XL. Add one tee per person, and any two or more come with 10% off automatically.
